White Devil Disco are purveyors of a distinctive dark-pop, led by multi-instrumentalist and ex-Fat White Family bassist Joseph Pancucci.

Formed in the post lock-down summer of 2021, WDD have established a reputation for high-octane live shows, garnering an ever increasing cult following. Their sleazy sound fuses grinding bass tones, infectious hooks and atmospheric synth lines. Meanwhile, the interplay between Pancucci’s gravelly baritone and high keening female backing vocals is arresting and seductive.

A side ‘Red’ is a moody, low slung groove. Produced by Sam Fez and Robin Harwood, Pancucci’s keyboard arrangements and soaring squalls of guitar underscore a righteous vocal: ‘Lace up your boots, and wipe that smirk from your chin.’

B side ‘Sing To Me’ was recorded in Norway, at the Fat White Family’s studio (The Betty Fjord Clinic). It features a subtle and sparse acoustic guitar and reflective vocal. The elegiac synth tones only serve to gild the beauty.
